Internship Day 4

Yesterday was quite a fun day! When the students arrived, I played with them at the play dough center until it was time for them to switch. Once they finished this, they then went to the bathroom and then commuted to the pods where they had time to play. Due to the extremely cold temperatures, the students are not able to go outside and play. I was once again stolen away from the group as one of the students pulled me away and told me all about the fun things to do in this space. It then got very hard for me to put all my attention on him as everyone was soon asking me to watch them do something. Once we got back to the classroom, we got a drink and sat down for snack and then ended the day with a play that the first graders put on. The students from Ms. Woodson's class were quiet and calm the entire time and I think it was because Ms. Woodson told them that they might trick everyone that the students were older than they look if the act respectful. This was a very clever tactic because it got them to behave and set examples for everyone else. Overall, it was a really fun day!
